  • WHITEGOODS PROGRAM

Quality used washing machines and refrigerators (checked, with 6 month warranty) can be purchased in low-income situations through a no-interest loan. Budget counselling applies.  For more information contact Necia   Ph: 8821 3383


  • UNITINGCARE OP SHOP (Wallaroo)

Large selection of quality used clothing, for all ages, at Emu St., Wallaroo (next to Uniting Church). Open: Mon to Frid 1-30 to 3-30, Sat 9-30 to 11-30.   Contact person: Neta Ph: 8823 2399


  • MICROCREDIT LOAN

Small no-interest loans can be applied for in low-income situations to tide families over a financial ‘bump’. Budget counselling applies. For more information contact Necia Ph: 8821 3383


  • CHRISTMAS GIFT APPEAL

Joint venture between UCCT and Target (Kadina) to provide gifts for disadvantaged children. Recipient families are nominated by caring agencies. Donations can be made at the Target Store, Kadina, in early December, or to co-ordinators,   Brenda Ph: 8823 2800, Judith Ph: 8823 2082.

Services available through referral from professional caring agencies:

  • EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Funds may be made available to clients of professional caring agencies, and church ministers.   Assessment of eligibility applies.

 

  • EMERGENCY RELOCATION

Low-income families undergoing relocation may qualify for the provision of furniture for the new situation.   UCCT provides this service for clients of caring agencies. Assessment of eligibility applies.

  • CHRISTMAS HAMPERS

Joint Venture between UCCT and Copper Coast businesses & private donors, to provide Christmas cheer for disadvantages families. Recipient families are nominated by professional caring agencies.
