More than 600 talented people volunteer their time and expertise to serve on the governing bodies of Uniting Church organisations across South Australia.

This includes 19 agencies and 7 independent schools, which together form the diverse UnitingCare network in this state. Some of our agencies have more than 1,000 staff while others are run by volunteers. Some serve local community and others provide services across the whole of South Australia. Regardless of size or scope, the governance of each is equally important.

The governing body is responsible for ensuring that each organisation embodies the mission and values of the Uniting Church. We value each individual's commitment to serve in this way and understand that this is just one of many governance duties involved.
